ESF is your not-for-profit planning-and-paying-for-college company. Everything we do is designed to make college more accessible and affordable for Mississippi students. We reinvest our loan proceeds in Mississippi students helping you plan and pay for college, with never a charge for our services.

All Stafford Loans are subject to federal fees that may be deducted from your loan disbursement:

• 0% to 1% default fee, based on guarantor
• 1% origination fee

Stafford Loans have a fixed interest rate of 6.8%; the interest rate for subsidized undergraduate Stafford Loans will be 6.0% for loans disbursed on or after July 1, 2008.

With ESF as your lender, you will have fast, efficient processing of your loan with our convenient online process. Follow these two steps to acquire your loan.

Step One:

You must complete entrance loan counseling online before your loan will be processed.  Click the Entrance Counseling Icon below and follow the instructions.  Return to this page when completed.  Your school will receive notification after you have completed the online entrance counseling.

Step Two:

You must complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN).  You have the option to complete and electronically sign the MPN or receive a paper copy to complete and sign.  E-signing your MPN will expedite the loan process.  Click the E-sign Your MPN below to start the process.
